6 weeks to go!

We had our 34 week appointment Friday and it continues to be a very "vanilla" pregnancy as our doctor says each visit. The nursery is partly finished. It's been painted, we reconfigured the closet with more shelving and hanging rods and the crib is up. The changing table arrives this coming week and the rocker the week after. Once all the furniture is here, we plan to purchase diapers and other essentials so that we're ready for the little guy. Once it's all finished I'll post some pictures but in the mean time, here's what the bedding looks like (link) and the room is painted a similar blue.

Hospital Tour

Last night we did our tour of the hospital and pre-admission paperwork. It was far less daunting than we expected, but never-the-less was pretty surreal to be standing in a delivery room and realizing we'd be there for real in several weeks.

To ease our minds, we visited the Overland Park Boat Show afterwards. In case anyone is looking for the baby gift of our dreams, Baby A would love a Cobalt 323:)

Welcome to our family's blog.

Well, I have taken a cue from several of my friends and decided to start a blog so that others can stay up-to-date with what's going on in KC (but mostly Baby A!). I have good intentions of keeping it current and interesting which is partly why I waited this long to start it. When it's just Todd and me to report on, it would have been the same post week after week - went to work, went to the lake. But as we inch closer to meeting the newest member of our family, there are more exciting things going on that you may or may not be interested in. That's the beauty of the blog, you only have to visit this site if you want and I won't be inundating you with emails full of pictures. Not that I'm promising not to send any, I just won't inundate you:).
